Annecy Guide takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. If you book a tour through a link here, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
What this means in practice
The booking links and availability widgets on this site go to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency. If you book after clicking one, GetYourGuide pays me a percentage of the tour price. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to GetYourGuide yourself — the commission comes out of their side, not yours.
Where I earn nothing, and say so
Several of the most-read pages on this site carry no commission at all, and two of them actively point you away from it:
- The lake cruise page tells you to buy at the quay from the Compagnie des Bateaux, because that is where the real boats are sold. I earn nothing from that.
- The where-to-stay guide describes neighbourhoods and trade-offs and names no properties, so there is nothing on it for me to be paid for.
- The Animation Festival guide has no bookable product behind it whatsoever.
How it affects what I recommend
It does not. Tours are chosen on rating, review count and whether they actually happen in Annecy — the highest-earning products filed under Annecy on GetYourGuide leave from Geneva, in Switzerland, and are not listed on this site at all for that reason. A guide that recommends the wrong thing gets read once.
